Creator of Kinder Surprise William Salice dead at 83

William Salice, the man credited with inventing the Kinder Surprise chocolate egg, has died at the age of 83. It is a sad day, because he invented something we have always bought as young kids or even as parents for our kids.

He was credited with creating the milk chocolate eggs with a white chocolate interior, which were known for containing a small "surprise" plastic children's toy.

Although the Kinder Surprise is not sold in the United States due to choking hazards since the toys are really small, we as Canadians still have them available here. And my kids still buy them.

We learn everyday, and the point I would like to make in this story is to be extra cautious when receiving any kind of toys as gifts and make sure they do not have really small parts which can be a choking hazard.

Happy New Year from the Sure Basics team. We look forward to introduce more innovative and beautiful Baby Proofing Products for your family. Thank you.
